Bradley Joshua
CEO and Executive Producer

Bradley Joshua is Gambit's CEO and Executive Producer. With a focus on Business development and growth through content, Bradley is the force behind the exponential growth of Gambit Films. Bradley drives the Vision, Mission and Strategy in order to continuously grow Gambit Films in the ever-changing marketplace. Through his leadership, clear guidelines are set for business success. His warm approach to business relationships keeps anyone that has ever worked with him, wholly motivated to achieve the highest levels of success. With an undying passion for people, Bradley thrives on seeing the dreams and goals of individuals realized. His inspiration enables Gambit members to, creatively, remain on top of their game and his integrity and high moral standards lays the foundation for the way in which Gambit Films operates.

Travis Taute
Director

Travis Taute co-founded Gambit Films in 2009. He's a writer, director and producer whose body of work spans across multiple mediums in film, television, and commercials. An AFDA graduate (2008), Travis's drive for creative excellence through genre-defining entertainment is wired into his DNA, forming a key component that enables the continued growth and success of Gambit Films. A wildly ambitious storyteller, his love for the medium and need to push boundaries has seen some of his work win numerous awards, including the 2015 SAFTA for Best Short Film (Nommer 37) which, he co-wrote and co-directed. He's also a producer on the popular local soap drama, Suidooster, which has already aired over 10 000 hours on broadcast television.

Daryne Joshua
Director

Daryne Joshua is a writer, director, producer and co-founder of Gambit Films. A natural storyteller, Daryne's love for all things visual started at a young age. After completing a degree in filmmaking, the self-confessed cinephile spent years shaping the future storytellers of a generation as a film lecturer at a local university. In 2016, his debut feature film, Noem My Skollie, was South Africa's official entry into the 89th Academy Awards, in contention for Best Foreign Language Film. Noem My Skollie went on to win numerous accolades at various international film festivals including the Pan African Film Festival De Cannes and Black Star International Film Festival. Skollie was also nominated for 7 African Oscars and won 5 SAFTA awards. Daryne's second feature, Ellen: Die Ellen Pakkies Stories premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2018 to rave reviews.

Benjamin Overmeyer
Producer

Benjamin Overmeyer is the in-house, award winning Producer for Gambit Films. He's produced content across all formats including feature films, TV Drama series, Documentaries as well as commercials. Benjamin's vast experience covers many aspects of the audiovisual & broadcasting spectrums including radio, events & live entertainment. He takes pleasure in bringing audiences great storytelling, no matter the platform or medium. Benjamin is equal to the challenge regardless of the scale or scope of any production. Everything seems impossible until it's done Nelson Mandela.

Nosipho Dumisa
Director

Nosipho Dumisa is a writer, director, and producer at Gambit Films, a company she co-founded in 2009 with some of the most exciting filmmakers of her generation. Her core focus is on producing original content that resonates with audiences around the world. In 2014, Nosipho co-wrote and co-directed the multiple award winning short film Nommer 37 (International: Number 37). Her debut feature film of the same name had its world premiere at SXSW International Film Festival in March 2018 to rave reviews. Amongst her numerous accolades is winning BEST DIRECTOR at Fantasia International Film Festival in 2018. Repped by 3 Arts Management and WME, Nosipho's undeniable storytelling talent has seen her explode onto the international film stage. She's worked in the television drama and commercial space; and is a producer on kykNET and kykNET & Kie's mega-successful, daily soap drama, Suidooster.

Simon Beesley
Post Production & Documentaries

Simon Beesley is a founding member of Gambit Films. He heads up Gambit's Post-Production, overseeing complete audio visual delivery on every project. Simon's love for storytelling and the creative problem solving process has seen him excel in various creative mediums. He edited the multi-award winning feature films Nommer 37 and Noem My Skollie, the latter which, was South Africa's 2017 submission for the Best Foreign Language Film to the Oscars. Simon is also a passionate and dedicated Documentary Filmmaker, inspired to tell thought-provoking and riveting stories from all corners of the country, and the world. He directed Redbull TV's flagship documentary The Rise of Us which, became one of the most-viewed documentaries on the streaming platform. Simon plays a vital role in the development and delivery of all projects through the Gambit brand.
